'The way Nithin and Nikhil Kamath take care of me': Zerodha co-founders' mother shares an emotional post with a heartfelt wish

Even as Zerodha’s co-founders Nithin and Nikhil Kamath continue to shape India’s fintech landscape, their mother, Revathi Kamath, reminded the world that no amount of success can overshadow the role of a mother in shaping that journey.

In a recent Facebook post, Revathi shared two photographs, one from Nithin’s toddler years and another from the present day capturing decades of love, pride, and togetherness. Alongside the pictures, she wrote,

“My son Nithin Kamath!! My life actually started with him and I lived my life for him and he always makes sure of getting me the world’s best things! I wish all sons of this world take care of their mothers the way my sons take care of me!”

Her emotional post, which has since resonated widely, reflects both gratitude and a universal truth; that behind every successful child often stands a parent who never stopped believing.

“For mothers, children remain babies forever”
This is not the first time Revathi Kamath has offered a glimpse into the emotional core of her family. In an earlier post, she had shared a warm message about her younger son, Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha and True Beacon. Reflecting on how success never changes a mother’s perspective, she wrote,

“Whatever height our children go, for mothers they will always remain babies only. A major part of a mother’s brain will always be occupied with her children and grandchildren. That is why no one can replace a mother.”

The message struck a chord with thousands online, with many Facebook users lauding her humility and the truth in her words. The post was widely shared and discussed, with commenters drawing cultural and emotional parallels about motherhood, love, and legacy.

A journey rooted in resilience
Long before her sons became India’s celebrated billionaire entrepreneurs, Revathi Kamath had her own share of struggles. She once recalled that her life changed completely after marriage when, within ten months, Nithin was born. Seven years later, Nikhil arrived. Raising two ambitious and unconventional boys, she often said, demanded patience, adaptability, and courage.

Her reflections have consistently highlighted that the foundation of her sons’ success lies in values built during those early years — discipline, empathy, and perseverance.

While she is best known as the matriarch behind the Kamath brothers, Revathi Kamath has carved a unique identity for herself as well. She began her professional journey with floral design and went on to establish Calyx, an event management company that handled major projects for global brands like HP and BOSCH. Later, her focus shifted toward environmental conservation.

“Happiness was never about wealth”
Her recent posts also echo the family’s modest beginnings. On Nikhil Kamath’s 39th birthday, she shared an old photo of him beside a cake, writing,

“We always made sure to celebrate both of our sons’ birthdays without fail. No matter what our economic condition was at that time, we celebrated with whatever resources were available. Because happiness was never about how much we had, but about how much love we shared.”

The sentiment drew admiration online, with many netizens commenting on how true joy comes from shared emotions, not material wealth.
